Rahway Community Action Organization (RCAO)’s Community Connections: Resources for All event brought neighbors, service providers, and community leaders together on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 — and made a meaningful impact. Held at RCAO’s Rahway Family Success Center, the event connected more than 215 families with free local services and support, including a holiday food distribution featuring fresh poultry and produce.
This was the second event in RCAO’s growing Community Connections series and reflected the organization’s deepening partnerships across the region. The event was bigger and better than its inaugural edition in March, with more families served and a wider range of participating agencies.
“We’re thrilled to see this series grow into a true community collaboration,” said Aneesha Ghaly, Executive Director of RCAO. “Together with our partners, we’re making it easier for families to get connected to the resources and support they need — right here in Rahway.”
RCAO was honored to welcome Union County Commissioner Rebecca Williams and Rahway Mayor Raymond Giacobbe, both of whom attended the event and engaged directly with residents.
“We are deeply grateful to Commissioner Williams and Mayor Giacobbe for showing up, listening to our families, and demonstrating such strong local support,” added Ghaly. “Their presence meant a great deal to our attendees and our team. I also want to thank Serena Ramos Brown for her vision and leadership in developing this series — her commitment has been essential to its success.”
RCAO extends sincere thanks to the Union County Board of County Commissioners for their continued support of the Rahway Family Success Center, which made this event possible.
